The Biennial Convention is where the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America meets as one body — for Divine Services, for the General Assembly, for its departments and its young people, and for the ordinary work of seeing one another face to face.
The 58th Biennial is hosted by Saint Andrew Orthodox Christian Church of Riverside, California, and meets at the Hilton Anaheim from July 19 to 25, 2027. Clergy, delegates, families and visitors from parishes across the United States and Canada are expected.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a delegate to attend, and you do not need to be Antiochian.
Common Questions
Every two years. The Convention moves between host cities, and a different parish or diocese hosts each time. 2027 is Southern California's turn.
Hierarchs, clergy and lay delegates from parishes across North America, along with their families and anyone else who wants to come. Parishes send delegates to the General Assembly, but attendance itself is open.
The business meeting of the Archdiocese, where parish delegates are seated and the work of the Archdiocese is discussed and decided. It is one part of the week rather than the whole of it.
No. Visitors are welcome, and many attendees come from other Orthodox jurisdictions or are simply curious.
Yes. Youth and children's programming runs in parallel with the adult schedule all week, and the venue sits in the middle of Anaheim's Resort District.

The Host Parish
Saint Andrew Orthodox Christian Church in Riverside, California is hosting the 58th Biennial. The Very Reverend Father Josiah Trenham serves as Pastor, and the clergy and parishioners of Saint Andrew are the ones organising the week.
Riverside is roughly forty miles inland from Anaheim. The Convention itself is in Anaheim — the host parish is credited here, not used as the venue.
Where We'll Be
Every service, session, exhibit and banquet takes place inside the Hilton Anaheim at 777 W Convention Way. Nothing is off-site, which is why a room inside the Convention block matters more here than at most events.
The hotel is walking distance from the Disneyland Resort and served by four airports, the closest being John Wayne / Orange County at about fourteen miles.
